She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alexander and Julia Etta Layton (Kyle); her sisters, Alena "Jo" Brown, Sue Gabbert and Dorothy Winburn; and her daughter Leslie Tolle Jenks.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie McDaniel; her granddaughters, Hillary Barlow and Jennifer Broyles; and her siblings, James Layton, David Layton, Mike Layton (Martha) and Judy Nixon (Monte). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
