He was predeceased by: his parents, Nina Belle Phillips (Smith) and James Phillips; his stepfather Omar; his brother Myles Phillips; his nephew Derek Phillips; and his niece Sonya Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, James Phillips of Watson, MO, Leslie Humphries (Bruce) of Gilmore City, IA, Tracie Phillips of Gilmore City, IA and Kimberly Blum of Sparta, WI; his grandchildren, Daniel Phillips of Gilmore City, IA, Robert Hollister of Bellevue, NE, Waymon Hollister of Kansas City, MO and Thea Blum of Sparta, WI; and his siblings, Floy King of Rock Port, MO, Carole Aspedon (Dick) of Beggs, OK, Wayne Phillips (Bev) of Hamburg, IA and Don Phillips (Debbie) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends.
