She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Leo Melvin and Nellie Elizabeth Hendrix Melvin; and her sister-in-law Sandy Melvin. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jean; her grandson Tyler; her siblings, Donnie Melvin, Barbara Hanks (Rick) and Rita Roberson (Dan); her sisters-in-law, Helen, Bonnie, Wilda and Tammy Melvin; her sons, Richard and David Newberry; and her brothers, Ronald, John, David, Ed, Wayne, Tom and Dale Melvin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
