She is survived by: her mother Deborah Larson; her husband Michael Shephard; her children, Brittany Phillips of Mobile, Alabama, Zemian Claiborne of Mobile, Alabama and Kenneth Westry II of Mobile, Alabama; her grandchildren, Karl Carson, Jr., Kaiden Carson, Xorah Carson, Korei Moorer and Ezekiel James Westry; her siblings, Maurice LaNear III (Christy), Patricia Brown, Rosa Lambert, Liera Hancock, Yvette Cook and Cassandra Hendricks; her adoptive parents, Ruby Overton and Maurice LaNear, Jr.; her niece Cattleya LaNear; and her nephew Maurice LaNear IV.
