It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Kay Wells of West Plains, Missouri, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil L. Johnston and Freda M. Parsons Johnston; her brother Joe C. Johnston; her former husband George Blake Hoopes Sr.; her husband Ray C. Wells, Jr.; her daughter Cathy Rae Duke; and her granddaughter Rosalie Whiteman.
She is survived by: her children, George B. Hoopes (Kimberly) of West Plains, Heather Ogden (Colby) of Joplin, Jason Wells (Angie) of White Church, Amber Conway (Wayne) of Elizabethtown and Nicole Wells of West Plains; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Shavahn, Evin, Keegan, Michael, Zachary, Curtis, William, Katana, Cattibrie, Willard, Donovan, Jessica, Tyler, Matthew, Emily and Gabriel; and her sister Cathy J. Downen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
