He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Arthur Franz, Jr. and Elizabeth Hamlin Franz; and his grandson Peter Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lou Trickey; his children, Ward (Kristi) and Rebekah Mitchell (Rodney); his grandson Quinton Mitchell (Lauren); his sons, Auggie and Christopher Mitchell (Audrey); and his brothers, Joe (Bonnie Franz) and Bill (Donna Franz). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
