It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Barton of West Plains, Missouri, born in Alton, Missouri, who passed away on July 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgan Barton and Bonnie Barton (Sanders); his siblings, Willard, Millard and Fern Forrester; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Forrester and Bois Waggoner; and his parents-in-law, Herman Waggoner and Alta Waggoner.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Waggoner; his children, Dan (Kay) of Nixa Missouri, Dennis (Sandy) of Alton and Melba Johnson (Randy) of West Plains, Missouri; his grandchildren, Broc, Blaz (Julie), Brandon (Chelse), Brooke and Brianna; his great grandchildren, Kolby and Karly; his brothers, Gordan (Donna) of Mountain Home, Carlos (Marietta) of Marthasville and Curtis (Linda) of Springfield, Missouri; and his sisters-in-law, Carolee of Thayer Missouri and Nadine of Alton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
