With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Marcak of West Plains, Missouri, born in Fremont, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Howard Godsy, Sr. and Opal O'dell Godsy; her husband George Marcak, Sr.; her son Melbourn Coates; her stepdaughter Aletta Marcak Hiltibran; and her sister Dorothy Godsy Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Coates (Lisa), Cheryl Coates Harrison (Tim), Don Coates (Sheena) and Tommy Marcak (Angela); her stepsons, Bennie Marcak of West Plains and Chris Marcak of West Plains; and her siblings, David Godsy, Ira Godsy, Jr., Gordon Godsy, Bob Godsy and Norma Jean Godsy Roy. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers and other like memorials, the family requests that donations be made to a breast cancer or brain cancer research organization of your choice.
