He was predeceased by: his parents, Marberry Ross Burnes and Barbara Rosa Burnes (Rehacek); his sister Barbara Gene Burnes; his aunt Bernice; and his uncle Howard Heier.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Burnes (Tucker); his daughter Summer Surface (Burnes); his son-in-law Logan Surface; his daughter Melissa Rowlett (Burnes); his son-in-law Johnathan Rowlett; his grandson Bellamy Joseph Rowlett; and his sister Margaret Viola. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
