He is survived by: his wife Edith Tackitt; his children, Leland Tackitt, Keith Tackitt (Brenda), Kevin Tackitt (Madonna), Lisa Bownds (David), Gean Leisey (Steve), Theresa Green (Frank) and Christine Plymale (Dave); his siblings, Billy Joe Tackitt (Patsy), Blanche Langston-Harden and Myrtle Hensley; his sons, Rick Philpott and Robert Philpott; his grandchildren, L. J. Tackitt, Bailee Blevins and Stacie Crow; and his siblings, J. B. Tackitt, Jewell Tackitt, Snowie Spoon, Esther Langston, Katherine Tackitt and Dorris Bonham. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
