She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Zabel and Anna Zabel; her children, Catherine Gayle Simpson and John Jeffrey Simpson; and her siblings, Mame, Bud and Carol (John G. Simpson).
She is survived by: her husband John Graham Simpson; her grandchildren, Craig Wollin (Jenna) of West Plains, MO and Holly McCarthy; her great grandchild Thomas Brookens (Caitlynn) of Flagstaff, AZ; her niece Anita Dick of Prairie Grove, MN; her great-niece Beth Dick; and her great-nephew Mike Dick of Minnesota.
