He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Cecil Sands and Velma Ruth Apple Sands; and his sister Linda Swailes. He is survived by: his children, Dale Sands (Cindy), Dave Sands (Diane), Lori Porter (Jeff) and Matthew Sands (Laura); his grandchildren, Jacob Sands, Sarah Thompson, Nathan Sands, Hannah Gibson, Noah Sands, Joshua Porter, Zachary Porter, Madison Porter, Kyle Sands and Ryan Sands; his great grandchildren, Amelia and Norah; and his brother Bob Sands.
