He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Francis Pettyjohn and Maymie Ellen McFarland Pettyjohn; and his nephew Mark Shultz. He is survived by: his son Scott Pettyjohn (Lora); his grandchildren, Alisha Bettis (James Hood), Brandy Pettyjohn (Joseph Wheeler), Scotty Pettyjohn (Amber Brimm) and Samantha Headly; his nieces, Treena Blades, Ellen Weaver, Donna Ross and Sharon Pena; his nephew Dwayne Pettyjohn; his close friends, Brian Shrubb and Charlene Bales (Pinky); and his siblings, Lois Morgan and Wayne Pettyjohn. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
