John V. Lewis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2021, John V. Lewis (West Plains, Missouri), born in De Soto, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Benjamin Lewis Sr. and Mary Katherine Haverstick Lewis; his siblings, Ernest Benjamin Jr., Cecil, Robert, Raymond, Richard Lewis, Opal Schillinger, Gladys Hammock and Mary Katherine Flecke; his parents-in-law, Elven and Juanita Wideman; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Schillinger, Robert Hammock, Richard Flecke and John Wideman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Wideman Lewis; his daughter Laura Kathleen Lewis Stewart (Lowell Alan Stewart Sr.); his grandchildren, Lowell Alan Stewart Jr. (Allison), Caleb James Stewart, Randall Wayne Stewart (Emily), John Dylan Stewart and Lauren Elizabeth Stewart; his great grandchild Lowell Alan Stewart III; his siblings, Charles Lewis, David Lewis and Patricia Lewis Crain; and his sister-in-law Mona Faye Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a whole host of friends.
Through that partnership they started J&M Foundation in 1974 in West Plains, Missouri.
