He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gerig and Gladys Alma Smith Gerig; and his wife Alta Lorene Sexton. He is survived by: his children, Alicea Goldberg (Bo), Darice Roha (Frank) and Brad Gerig; his brother Henry Gerig; and his son Robert Gerig. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
