He is survived by: his wife Ruth; and his children, Ruth Ann Newnam (Jimmy), Mike Shannon (Dena), Debra Head (Jeff) and Charla Whiteside. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
