He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Tackett and Gerthie Fogleman Tackett (Cecil); and his siblings, Anna Mae Childs, Lavina Ferry, Dollie Vance, Lorene Milliken and Leroy Tackett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alene Gentry (Ray), Marie Dober, Johnny Tackett, Doug Tackett (Leslie) and Shirley Jean Durden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
