She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daniel Ross and Aider Ethel Ross (Russell); her former husband James Owen Sanders; her husband Joseph G. Hopkins; her son Owen Sanders; and her siblings, Pearl Scarbrough, Lois Blair, Imogene Admire and Norman Ross.
She is survived by: her son Donnie Sanders of Alton, Missouri. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
