It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Simpson of West Plains, Missouri, born in Saverton, Missouri, who passed away on August 26, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Benjamin Edwin Smallwood and Lou Viola Beck; and her sister Leona Pedrow. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Brotherton (Doug), Jimmie Simpson, Joe Simpson and Cathy Klein; her daughter-in-law Gina Simpson; her grandchildren, Jamie Simpson, Shane Brotherton, Shannah Wood, Brooke Robertson, Jeff Coursey, Justin Coursey, Bradley Simpson, Chase Brotherton, Jolene Lovins, Travis Simpson, Abby Halford and Chance Barnes; her sister Mary Effington; her siblings-in-law, Joe Simpson and Margaret Simpson; her children, Karen Coursey and Dennis Simpson; her sons-in-law, Gary Coursey, Mike Barnes and Greg Klein; her granddaughter Allyson Barnes; and her brothers, James Smallwood, Richard Smallwood and Gene Smallwood. She is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren.
