He was predeceased by: his parents, James Anderson and Gracie May Mantooth; his daughter Lisa May Elson of West Plains; and his siblings, Edna May Tatman of Indiana, Paul Edward Mantooth of Arizona and Harold Eugene Mantooth of Indiana.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda J. Mantooth of West Plains; his daughters, Penny Lynn (Troy D. Keller) and Dana Mantooth (Johnny E. Tompkins); and his grandchildren, Joshua D. Elson, Jennifer M. Palmer, Cody A. Tompkins, Colt B. Tompkins, Skyler D. Tompkins, Matthew D. Elson, Ashla N. Himes, Victoria A. Crowder and Zachary D. Keller.
