He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Smith and Leetia Smith (Hall); his former wife Peggy Smith; and his daughter Hollis Smith. He is survived by: his friend Dorothy Treaster Smith; his wife Dorothy; his children, Angela Smith, Becky Dilks (Bob), Nancy Lovan (Martin), Lee Smith (Mary) and Lance Smith (Sandy); his grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Oliver Dilks, Rachael Dilks, Richard Smith, Emily Pipes, Austin Lovan, Thomas Smith, Lauren DiSalvo, Jared Lovan, Lacey Hoorman and Landen Smith; his great grandchildren, Mason, Ryan, Lillian, Rosalee and Remington; his brother Owen Smith (Carol); and also, Della and Jean.
He even preached at a couple of churches as a part of the M.U. Wesley Foundation while in college.
