He was predeceased by: his niece Mary Lambert; his parents, Joseph and Mary Minick, Sr. (Swandiak); and his siblings, Emily Brainard, Joseph Jr. and Stephen Minick.

He is survived by: his former wife Peggy Traverso (Audrey Mund); and his godson Jesse Czaja.
