He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Pile and Margaret C. Pile (Jackson); his former spouse Letafern Husted; his wife Ernestine Kohlhauff; his son Roger Pile; and his siblings, Wayne, Fern Bybee, Idrys Davis, Ruth Mortenson and Doris Pile.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Teresa Roach (Pile) of Windsor, MO; his children, Barb Eichhorn (Lane) of Wentzville and Ron Pile (Sharon Beckman) of Iowa City; and his sister Dorothy Huffman. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
He was a member of the American Legion, and volunteered for the American Cancer Society and RSVP.
Memorials may be directed to the Harmony Township Cemetery or the Providence Primitive Baptist Church.
