He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Ahrens and Violet Ahrens; his daughter Janeen Ahrens; his siblings, Bill Ahrens and Betty; his brother-in-law Larry Spanberger; his sister Jane Ahrens; and his brother-in-law Payton McLamb.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Ahrens; his children, John Ahrens (Laura) of Plainfield, IL, Jamie Ahrens (Stormy Church) of St. Paul, MN and Tricia Paddock (Vaughn) of Wentzville, MO; his siblings, Stephen Ahrens (Sharon) of Mexico and Emily McLamb; his grandchildren, Quinn, Tali, Mitchell (Gabi), Sydney, Olivia, Brooke, Kate and Jillian; and his great grandchild Asher.
The inurnment will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
