He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Nathaniel Ball and Gertie Lee Ball (Brooks); his wife Laquita Joy Ball; his son Stephen Ronald Ball; and his siblings, Willie Mae, Ruth Mae, Elvia Mae, Marvin Mae and Linda Mae.

He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Joy Ekstrom (Ball); his grandchild Shawn Edward Ekstrom; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Ronald, Abigail Ekstrom, Chloe Joy, Curran Hutton and Camden Hutton; his sister Glenda Faye Wilson of St. Charles, MO.; his nephew Vic Moser; and his friend Ralph Merkel.
