He was predeceased by: his stepfather Richard Atwell; and his brother-in-law Scott Obermoeller. He is survived by: his spouse Tracy Pitts of Wentzville, Missouri; his mother Marion Atwell of O'Fallon, Missouri; his stepmother Eunice Atwell of Hillsboro, Missouri; his sons, Michael Pitts Jr. of St. Louis and Andrew Pitts (Melissa) of Kansas City, Missouri; his stepson Daniel Davis of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Emerson, Lillian and Bennett; his stepsiblings, Richard Atwell, Jr. (Jens Hager) of Republic, John Atwell (Amanda) of Columbia, Missouri and Heidi Coco (Chris) of Chesterfield, Missouri; his sisters-in-law, Denise Ballentine (Rich) of Fort Myers and Jeannie Lange (Gary) of Florissant, Missouri; his nieces, Jaymie and Kristin; and his friends, Jerry, Sandy Standeford, Kathy, Terry Haarmann, Bruce, Debi Elick, Runa Swofford and Joan Hearst. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
