He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Laufer and Henrietta Laufer; and his siblings, Claudia Henderson (late Leland) and Richard Laufer. He is survived by: his wife Janet Marie (Jan); his daughter Christine Marie Kimack (Chris); his son-in-law Gregory Michael Kimack; his grandchildren, Julia Marie, Olivia Grace and Gregory "Cole" Kimack; his siblings, Jeanenne Kopff (late Donald) and Patricia; and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Stewart, Melvin "Butch" Schmoele and Joy Stewart.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pitman Funeral Home (1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (7701 State Rte N, O'Fallon, MO 63368). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Our Lady Cemetery (8701 Orf Rd, Lake St Louis, MO 63367).
In lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri or the American Heart Association.
