He was predeceased by: his wife Lorna Bognar of Moscow Mills, Missouri; his parents, Frank Bognar and Rosalia Bognar (Lorna Bognar); his son Kurt Bognar; and his siblings, Richard Bognar, Frank Bognar, Adolph Bognar, Joseph Bognar, Louis Bognar, Nicholas Bognar, Ann Rosswog and Margie Clayton.
He is survived by: his children, John Bognar II (Sandi), Rebecca Willhite (James) of Dardenne Prairie, MO and Michele Dreyer (Fritz) of Warrenton, MO; his brothers, Bill Bognar of Fenton, MO and Robert Bognar (Virginia) of Lake St; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Bognar of St. Louis, MO, Beverly Bognar of Barnhart, MO and Arbin Clayton. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
