He was predeceased by: his son James Patrick Donovan; his parents, Robert Donovan and Augusta Donovan; and his brothers, Robert and Paul Donovan (Betty).
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Donovan; his daughters, Joanne Wolf (Robert) and Julie Snyder (James) of O'Fallon, MO; his grandchildren, Matt, Nathanael (Danielle), Shelly, Brian, Cody, Natalie and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Khloe and Valerie; his siblings, Tom Donovan and Loretta Donovan; and his sister-in-law Jeannie Donovan.
