Heiligenstein of Wentzville, Missouri, born in Freeburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Roselyn "Rose" Heiligenstein; his parents, Adolph Heiligenstein and Eleanora Heiligenstein; his siblings, Vincent Heiligenstein and Bernadette (Vincent); and his grandson Michael Alois Heiligenstein.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Grelle (Dave), Jim Heiligenstein (MaryJill), Dave Heiligenstein (Janet), Tom Heiligenstein, Mike Heiligenstein (Leah) and Matt Heiligenstein (Julie Sutter); his grandchildren, Sarah Lehmann (Nick), Rachel Burns (Billy), Emily Thro (Andy), Alyssa Grelle, Matt Grelle, John Heiligenstein (Frannie), Joe Heiligenstein, MaryBeth Faust (Will), Jake Heiligenstein, Nick Heiligenstein, Katie Hemphill (Jake), Nate Heiligenstein, Andrew Heiligenstein (Lauren), Paul Heiligenstein (Renae), Adam Heiligenstein (Natalie), Kayla Heiligenstein, Sam Heiligenstein (Ashleigh), Julia Wallen (Jesse), Josy Heiligenstein, Charlie Heiligenstein and Auggie Heiligenstein; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Ben, Brooke, Luke, Theo, Isla, Maren, Charlie, Claire, Tommy, JoJo, Johnny, Mady, Adi, Crosby, Jillian, Wade, Alan, Jack, Evan, Ella and Otto; and his wife Rose "Dolly" Becker. He is also survived by his family and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pitman Funeral Home (1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church-Wentzville (405 S Church St, Wentzville, MO 63385).
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic School or St. Dominic High School in support of Catholic education.
