He was predeceased by: his father Joe Francis; his stepfather Robert Spillman; and his stepbrother Greg Spillman (Sheri). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Stewart; his mother Edna Mae Spillman (Keatts) of Mt. Vernon; his children, Staci Leach (Odis) of Halltown, Kristi Sherrill of Joplin, Rachel Brown of Phoenix, Arizona and John Brown; his grandchildren, Jade Curl, Isaiah Bolton, Forrest Leach, Preston Curl, Hunter Leach and Aleigha Sample; his great grandchildren, Amiyah Curl and Lane Ray Curl; and his siblings, Elaine Fordham (Dennis) of Talala, Oklahoma, Stephen Curl (Sherry) of Mt. Vernon, Mark Curl (Janet) of Mt. Vernon, Danny Curl (Michelle Murray) of Mt. Vernon and Darrell Curl (Karen) of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
