It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Elizabeth Meador of Wellsville, Missouri, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Niekamp and Loretta Niekamp (Nolte); her husband Charles Meador; and her siblings, Elaine Durham, Genrose Baclesse, Patty Niekamp, Eugene Niekamp, Gerald Niekamp, Charles Niekamp Jr. and Marvin Niekamp.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Meador (Gary) of Columbia, Donnie Meador (Lee Ann) of Laddonia and Teresa Wortmann (Danny) of Wardsville; her grandchildren, Andrea Wiechens (Kyle) of Columbia, Melissa Trierweiler (Matt) of Kansas City, KS, Zane Meador of Laddonia, Ean Meador (Taylor) of Laddonia, Maggie Meador (Gage) of Laddonia, Kristi Wortmann (Bailey) of Columbia, Alex Wortmann of Peoria, IL and Jared Wortmann of Wardsville; her great grandchild Adalynn Meador; and her sisters, Ruthie Barker (Lyndal) of Mexico and Brenda Fike of Mexico. She is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
