James Nation Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Nation Sr. (Wellsville, Missouri), born in Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on January 25, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph Nation, Sr. and Florence Virginia Nation (Grennan); his siblings, John Joseph Nation, Jr. and Mary Virginia Gooch; his siblings-in-law, Rebecca Alice "Becky" Nation and Vincent Edward Garufi, Jr.; his nephews, Patrick Alan Nation and Vincent Edward Garufi III; his daughter-in-law Nicki Nicole Nation; and his great-nephew William Claude "Bill" Holmes II.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sue; his children, James Donald "Donny" Nation, Jr. (Mary) of Wellsville, Cindy Sue Thurman (Dion) of Montgomery City, Penny Lea Dreiling (Neal) of Great Bend, Tina Jean Stark (Steve) of Kearney and Curtis Allen Nation of Wellsville; his grandchildren, Lena (Marty), Rene (Mitch), Kayla (Matt), Jason (Ashley), Barbie (Ryan), Kacee (Rob), Katelyn (Bo), Leanna, Sara (Chris), Carly, Brooke (Gage) and Addi; his great grandchildren, Marley, Isaac, Caden, Kendall, Makinley, Evie, Cody, Skyla, Aurora, Tayla, Siarah, Willa and Sophie; his siblings, Joan Garufi of Wellsville, Richard Vernon "Dick" (Linda Nation) and Robert Wayne "Bob" (Caroline Nation); his siblings-in-law, Shirley Janice Nation of Wellsville and James Everett "Jim" Gooch of Wellsville; his nephews, Gary Garufi, Tim Gooch, David Nation, Jeremy Nation, Phil Nation and Rick Nation; and his grandsons, Jared Feather, Dylan Dreiling, Travis Nation and Caleb Stark. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
