He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gooch and Martha Gooch (Hudlin); his wife Mary Virginia Nation; his siblings, Earl Gooch (Marie), Gary Gooch (Dorothy), Bill Gooch, Betty Baugh (Teddy) and Izetta Gooch; his grandson William "Billy" Holmes; his great grandchild Wesley Pritchard; his nephew Randy Gooch; and his great-nephew Casey Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Holmes of Santa Fe and Timothy Gooch (Lisa) of St. Charles; his siblings-in-law, Robert Nation (Caroline) of Martinsburg, Dianne Gooch of Coon Rapids, Linda Nation of Wellsville and Shirley Nation of Wellsville; his grandchildren, Courtney Holmes (Dustin) of Mexico, Brenden Gooch of St. Charles, Noah Holmes (Amber) of Paris, Carmyn Burnett (Wyatt) of Paris, Hayden Gooch of St. Charles, Austin Gooch of St. Charles, Andi Holmes of Paris, Cassidy Gooch of St. Charles and Brinley Gooch of St. Charles; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Painter, Melanie Holmes, Maci Hinson, Miley Holmes, Jameson Burnett, Lucah Holmes, Sylvia Burnett and Deklan Politte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
