He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Wilson and Mildred Parsons Wilson; his wife Thelma Deloris Andrews; and his son Wendell Halls. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nicholas Halls (Stacy) and Brandy Johnson (Chad); and his great grandchildren, Madison Halls, Morgan Halls, Ford Johnson and Royce Johnson.
