He is survived by: his spouse LaHoma Cossey (Bowman); his children, Richard Lee Simpson (Alison) of Joplin, Jeff Simpson (Jennifer) of Carthage, Cheryl Barchak (John), Cindy Parker (Don) of Joplin and Rene Johnson (Keith) of Duenweg; his siblings, Floyd Simpson of Beuford, S. C., Charles Simpson (Donna) of Lloydminister, AB., Johnny Simpson, Lorene Powers, Linda Hernandez and Dixie Turley (Tom); and his son Wayne Cossey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hospice Compassus in care of the mortuary.
