He was predeceased by: his stepfather George Murphy; his brothers, John McGuirk and Delbert McGuirk; his sons, Charles Jr., Johnny Jr., Robert Jr. and Jerry McGuirk, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Jarrod McGuirk, Brian McGuirk, Chassey Steele and Dondi McGuirk.
He is survived by: his spouse Phyllis Ann Miller; his children, Jimmy McGuirk, Carthage McGuirk, Lloyd McGuirk (Brenda) and Cindy McGuirk of Joplin; and his sister Geneva Zobel. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
