He is survived by: his mother Betty Vowiell (Wheeler) of Willow Springs, Missouri; his wife Barbara Vowiell; his sons, David Vowiell, Jr. of Kansas City, Nathan Vowiell (Ellen) of Carterville and Jeff Brown of Carthage, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ethan Vowiell, Ava Vowiell, Mia Vowiell, Emma Brown, Grace Brown and Thaxton Brown; his sister Dawn Vowiell of Willow Springs; and his cousin Karen Owens of Willow Springs.

We went to Longfellow school and David was the character of the class, most of the time. Our parents played cards and had a few sips. Sweet times!
