It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Franklin Sumner (Waynesville, Missouri), born in Fort Mill, South Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferman Sumner and Alma Bagwell Sumner; and his brother James Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Fran Sumner; his children, Angelika Santiago of Baltimore, Maryland, Leo Sumner (Roberta) of Stockton and Stephen Sumner (Adair) of Falcon, Missouri; his siblings, Cyrus Sumner of Fort Mill, Patricia Fields of Fort Mill, Brenda Sumner of Fort Mill and Evone Sumner of Fort Mill; his stepsisters, Debra of South Carolina and Pam of South Carolina; and his stepsons, Timothy Brown (Stephanie), Erik Brown of Pleasant Valley and Johnathan Brown of Lebanon, Missouri. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six step-grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Wounded Warriors.
