He was predeceased by: his parents, George Yancie and Priscilla Fern Keeney (Dial); his wife Sue Nicks; and his sisters, Shirley Greer, Georgia Davis and Ella Campbell.
He is survived by: his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Antoinette Keeney of Eagan, Minnesota; and his former wife Terri Keeney. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.
