She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Herman and Georgia Margaret Mohr (Applegate); her husband Edwin Samuel Morehouse; her brothers, Everett Mohr and Herman Otto; her son-in-law Leon Kerr; and her grandson Collin Kerr.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Gates (Marlene) of Burlington, IA, David Gates (Mona) of New London, IA, Edwin Morehouse Jr. of Detroit Lakes, MN, Judy Kealen (John) of Lowpoint, IL, Zinda Zinnert (Daniel) of Burlington, IA, Glenda Kerr of Reeds Spring, MO and Sarah Sanders (Tony) of Mt. Pleasant, IA; her grandchildren, Stephanie Reusch (Darth), Josiah Gates (Chelsea), Jesse Gates (Mallorie), Becca Hartje (Scott), Jason Gates (Christie), Andrew Gates (Cara), Benjamin Gates (Heather), Nathaniel Kealen (Erin), Charlotte Silver (Trevor), Johnathan Kealen (Kellie) and Wesley Kerr (Jenny); and her siblings, Janet Parsons (Francis) of Wayland and Harlan Mohr of Keokuk.
