He is survived by: his parents, Joseph V. Borgerding (LaVerne) and Rusty; and also Eckelkamp.
One of his more memorable roles was that of Coach Van Buren in the show "Damn Yankees,""when he sang "You Gotta Have Heart," which could have been his life's motto. Terry embraced his calling as a priest by always reaching out to his parishioners and students. His ministry also took him to El Salvador on yearly mission trips with members of St. Cletus Parish, where he was affectionately called "El Gringo Grande." Terry is survived by his father, Joseph; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Paulette Borgerding; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Reymundo Rodriguez; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many beloved friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at–Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington, and Mass at 11 a.m. Burial and a luncheon will follow at St. Vincent Church, Dutzow. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the Priests''Benefits Fund, or St. Cletus Parish, El Salvador Mission Trip.
