He was predeceased by: his father Terry Downey; his brother Larry Downey; and his grandmother Mayme Downey. He is survived by: his son Matthew Downey (Chelsa) of Washington; his grandson Joseph Scott Downey of Washington; his mother Linda Ely; his stepfather Tom Ely of Union; and his siblings, Cole Ely of Illinois, Ashley Ely of Union, Mike Downey of House Springs, Dustin Downey of St. Clair and J. C. Downey of Pacific. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; other relatives and many friends.
