He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thurman and JoAnn Thurman (Barks). He is survived by: his sons, Christopher L. Thurman (Tricia L. Thurman) and Steven Thurman of San Rafael, California; his brother Gary Thurman (Linda Thurman) of Richmond, Kentucky; and his half-brothers, Brad Thurman (Dusty Thurman) of Gerald, Missouri and Jack Crowson, Jr..
