He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Buschmann and Launa; his wives, Betty Buschman and Mattie Buschman; his daughters, Martha Narup and Sarah Buschman; his son-in-law Larry Strode; his brother Eugene Buschmann; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Buschmann, James Oberhaus (Elfrieda) and Bernell Oberhaus (Mary).
He is survived by: his children, Alan Buschman (Kim) of Washington, Linda Strode of Washington and Jean Kleekamp (Wayne) of Washington; his brother Ivan Buschmann (Kathleen) of Washington; his grandchildren, Matthew (Corbin), Alex, Jo Ellen, Olivia, Josie and Luke; his great grandchild Brooks; and his son-in-law Donnie Narup of Washington. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
