With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Legrand Richard Petty (Washington, Missouri), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2019 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father James Petty (Nina); his parents-in-law, Laureda Henry and Howard Street; and his stepfathers-in-law, Donald Henry and John Edstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Lora Petty; his children, Legrand "Rich" Petty II (Evalyn) of St. Louis, MO, Bryan Petty of Washington, MO and Adrienne Petty of Washington, MO; his siblings, Cheryl Petty of Surfside Beach, SC, Alayne Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC, James Petty (Terry) of Atlanta, GA, Joel Petty (Kailyn) of Columbia, SC, Zane Petty (Kerry) of Tampa, FL and Kurt Petty of Surfside Beach, SC; his grandchildren, Ariana, Anna, Maxwell, Violet, Aiden, Elliott and Harper; and his stepmother-in-law Betty Street of High Ridge, MO. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Mr. Petty to The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.
