It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Riegel of Washington, Missouri, born in DuQuoin, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Riegel and Laura; his brother Raymond Riegel (Lucy); and his parent-in-law Hermann Neier (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Loretta Riegel of Washington; his children, Patricia Gomez (Joe) of Del Valle, TX, Anthony Riegel (Lynn) of Washington, Theresa Clark (Timothy) of Berger and Rita Niederholtmeyer (Wayne) of Washington; his brother Robert R. Riegel (Arlene) of Washington; his grandchildren, Thomas Gomez (Ashley), Jason Pepmueller, Emma Sandoval (Hector), Samantha Riegel, Amanda Riegel, Joshua Clark and Laura Chilton (Nathaniel); and his great grandchild Emmet Riegel. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School or the Grotto at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
