He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Lambert and Ora Lambert; and his sisters, Josephine Briscoe and Patricia Mayberry. He is survived by: his wife Genny Lambert of Washington, MO; his sons, Richard Cooper (Jody) of Evansville, IN, Bill Cooper (Tamara) of Sullivan, MO, B. J. Cooper (Danielle) of Union, MO and Nicholas Brannon (Joy) of St. Clair, MO; his brother-in-law Elmer Mayberry of Tempe, AZ; and his niece Virginia Briscoe of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, with one on the way, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
