He is survived by: his wife Joan Dove; his children, William Lawrence Powell of Decatur, Alabama, Lisa Easthan of Decatur, Alabama and Amanda Teague of Decatur, Alabama; and his siblings, Rick Powell of Gadsden, Roger Powell of Alabama and Jessie Lue Smith (Don) of Angus Valley, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
