He was predeceased by: his children, James and Patricia; and his brothers, Oliver Hudgens and Oral Hudgens. He is survived by: his parents, James Hudgens and Nellie Hudgens (Thurman); his spouses, Guila Mae Carroll and Beth; his daughter Janet Campbell (Chuck) of Warsaw; his stepdaughter Debra Gouge (Eugene) of Louisburg; his great grandchildren, Justin Darnell, Senior Chief Petty Officer, Austin Roebuck, Mate Airman Apprentice, Matthew Brown, Jordan Burt, David Hudgens, Ian Burt, Evan Burt, Andre Hudgens, Isaiah Hudgens and Jackson Burt; and his grandchildren, David Hudgens, Scott Burt and Ronnie Burt. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren eleven great-great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
